| I graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2010 with a Bachelor's degree in Communications (focusing on Social Scientific Research and Persuasion) and Mathematics (Calculus and Discreet Mathematics). I spent 3 months in 2010 training witht he United States Peace Corps in Nyanza, Rwandan. There, I studied Kinyarwanda, Rwandan culture, advanced teaching methodology, and IT in East Africa. |
| Since January of 2011, I have been working in Cyahinda, Nyaruguru at GS st Jean Baptiste as an ICT Teacher and Technology Volunteer. While there, I have rebuilt the school's computer room into a fully functioning Multi-Media Laboratory. We now have 25 desktop computer, a laptop, 2 large-screen TVs, an LCD projector, 2 synthesizers/keyboards, and a typewriter from 1950's Germany.
In addition, I am working with the Peace Corps Office out of Nyarutarama, Kigali in developing and revising IT tools used by the Office and our Volunteers in the field. I am also acting as a Technology Liaison between Peace Corps' Rwandan staff and it's American Volunteers. |
