I have studied my primary and secondary school in Burundi, back to a school called Ecole Internationale de Bujumbura. Afterwards, I moved back to Rwanda and graduated from High School at College Immaculee Conception/Save, having studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB). Then on, I applied and was selected as a Bridge2Rwanda Scholar in 2015. I have now undergone the program for a year to pass and soon to graduate and leave for college in the United States.
So far, I have been awarded as the top performer at National Examinations both at my former High Schools. In addition, I have been selected amongst 42 out of 2000 Bridge2Rwanda applicants to form the fifth class of the same program. |
Whilst still in High School, I have got the opportunity to work as a surveyor and data entry agent.
Starting with the first, I have worked with CHK Hospital on a research study they were doing on HIV. They needed people to enter the gathered data in their database system using a software program called Epidata. I worked as a data entry agent, recording the information they needed.
Moving forward, upon graduating from High School, I have worked as an urban surveyor -- traffic and housing. The City of Kigali, in the line of their program of designing a Vision 202o Kigali, undertook a study aiming to collect data on infrastructures, namely roads, houses, et al. They needed surveyors to collect the required data, and I have worked as one for the Zurika company, which was in partnership with the City of Kigali.
As for now, I am a news writer for online site Inyarwanda.com and work closely with the kLab General Manager. |
