Education
My Bachelor's is in African Studies and International Business Diplomacy from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service, where I graduated summa cum laude. I also have a certificate of readiness with high honors from Harvard Business School, where I took courses in economics for managers, business analytics, and financial accounting.
Experience
I am currently the Managing Director of hellofood Rwanda, one of the most popular apps and websites in Rwanda. We deliver food from over 80 Kigali restaurants to customers' homes and offices. As Managing Director, I am responsible for a team of 48 people, including a customer service team and fleet of riders. I also hold ultimate P&L responsibility for the company and produce all of its financial statements. Previous to that position, I have worked with several social enterprises in East Africa and South Asia. Projects ranged from redoing the pricing model for a toilet franchise in Nairobi's slums to expanding a microfinance institution's offerings beyond agricultural loans into small business loans in Myanmar to improving a MFI's portfolio at risk by standardizing the loan appraisal, disbursement, and collection process across the company's 10 branches in Tanzania. As aforementioned, I also spent two years with McKinsey & Company, serving mainly the Gates Foundation's integrated delivery unit.
