For so long Africa has been known as the continent solely endowed with natural/mineral resources, but never has this continent ever been looked at as a potential source of intellectual resources, and yet today Africa is the youngest continent on Earth. In this we should see an opportunity to offer the world an alternative offshore software development destination from the usual suspects that are China, India, and other east-Asian countries.
How can we leverage this growing interest of Japanese firms in outsourcing software development to Rwanda? What can be done to really put Rwanda, and Africa, out there as a serious contender of offshore development business? We focus our operations on developing state of the art payment systems and financial tools. Recently, as the focus of this talk, we have also ventured into offering outsourcing services to Japanese companies.
