Certified Electronic Billing Machines Workshop

Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) recently introduced a new way of collecting Value Added Tax(VAT) from VAT registered businesses, this new method will require that Point Of Sales (POS) suppliers and software developers for these systems get certi fication for businesses to use their systems.

The ICT CHAMBER PSF, has thus organized a half workshop together with RRA to explain the requirements for compliance with the new system that will soon be a requirement by Law. Those whose systems are not certified will not be able to sell to users.. Subject of this workshop is introduction of the requirements about the technical compliance of Certified Invoicing Systems (CIS) and Sales Data Controller (SDC) for potential suppliers.

Presentations includes Certification process and Electronic Billing Machine concept: the main components of the system; How are devices procured; Electronic Billing Machine activation; Continuous use and audit process, publication of CIS/SDC certificate and maintenance of CIS/SDC certificate.
