The U.S. Embassy in Rwanda is in the process of seeking out promising young Rwandans to participate in the 2016 Mandela Washington Fellowship. The Fellowship is an exciting opportunity for young leaders to visit top U.S. universities for a six-week academic and leadership institute in one of three areas: Business and Entrepreneurship, Civic leadership, or Public Management. Fellows will interact with President Obama at a presidential summit in Washington, D.C., meet with U.S. Civic, Business, and Government leaders, and will have the chance to expand their business or project through access to millions of dollars of small grant funding.
The number of spots for Rwandan participants this year has been increased from six to fifteen. US embassy is reaching out to various youth organizations to publicize this opportunity to Rwandan youth between the ages of 25 and 35.
