Threats to enterprises and their IT solutions have never been that serious and will become even more serious when thinking of buzzwords as 'Internet of things' and 'IPv6'. In Rwanda fast Internet has been introduced. However, most organizations underestimate the implications of being connected.

''Benjamin Neuhoff'' an ICT specialist from ''GIZ''(Germany Cooperation) will demonstrate in an hands on session how common hardware can be turned into powerful router/UTM appliances by using Open Source solutions like Endian, pfSense, IPcop or Untangle to protect networks of small companies up to large enterprises or even government institutions. Participants are urged to bring their notebooks with an working x86 hypervisor (Oracle VM VirtualBox or VMware Workstation/Player) to the session.
